ya know, a couple of my friends kinda said it is stupid as well, of course i told them your jealous, which is what it comes down to, put MyColors on his machine with the AMD theme, and well, that changed his mind of skinning, now he understands why i like to constantly change the appearance of my desktop, which maybe i am a little Obsessive Compulsive, but that is a good thing

  Well, I must be the lucky one. My wife loves most of my walls and uses them on her laptop. She is very encouraging and always gives an honest opinion of my work. She don't use DesktopX, but she reads what others say about my work, and always tells me she's proud of me when I get a Weekend Pick, or a Feature! She is the main breadwinner in the household and she got Photoshop CS3 Extended (Design Premium) for me, I don't have to tell you what that costs!! She likes my creative side, and that's really what skinning is about to me, to be able to create something useful, and artful, that people want. And I must confess that I like the nice comments that come with a job well done. If I never make master, it will have been worth it all anyway, beacuse I had fun, and I find skinning rexlaxing too.  My wife jokingly says to her parents that she don't have to worry about the " Other Woman"  she can always find me at my Stardock Box. Almost 18 hrs. a day. Usually till about 3 am.   I have it good.... 

Well I have lot of confusion explaining skinning to people. Did once try explaining about skinning to one guy and a few days after that, I heard from someone else that he keep telling others that I am selling 'pron' on internet.. I said WTF... I stop explaining to anyone ever since..

Put in a good word for me to your wife. LOl

I will never own Photoshop CS3 Extended (Design Premium). I don't get that kind of support. But at least I get to subscribe to WC and Object desktop.

Ok I'm going to have to go back later and read all the replies to this one.

But from the few replies I read there seems to be a recurring theme.

And I think it helped me figure out why I can never find enough time to finish the things I start.

I'm not one of 'em... but there might be some who'd happily give you theirs if you advertise....

.... and quite a few who'll throw in the mother-in-law as well.

Alternatively, you could try one of those talking blow-up dolls that can be programmed to whisper sweet nothings in your ear.... or nag the leg off an iron pot if you need an excuse to escape.
